Youngmi Chung

Youngmi provides advisory and professional services on IP prosecution and litigation, specialized in telecommunication, electronics, computer implemented invention, signal processing, process control and medical device technology.

She studied computer science and psychology at Sogang University, 1991. Based on several years of experience as an engineer, Youngmi started her career in IP in 2003 as an authorized patent attorney in Korea. She has worked at IP law firms for Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology and Samsung Electronics in relation to standard patents such as MPEG, DVD, BD, IPv6, etc.

After moving to Sweden with her family, she studied European Intellectual Property Law at Stockholm University and achieved Master at law, 2011. Before starting IPNY, she worked as a patent attorney at renowned IP law firms in Sweden from 2012 to 2021. She has successfully assisted international clients, especially Korean clients, in relation to European IP law and practice.

Through wide experience as an engineer and patent professional in Korea and Europe, Youngmi deeply understands the clients’ needs and provides advice from the clients’ point of view.

Dr. Rolf Sander

Rolf's range of activities comprises intellectual property with a special focus on patent law and utility model law, invention law, trademark law and design law.

He studied chemistry at the Technische Universität Berlin and did his doctorate at the Optical Institute of the Physics Department of the TU Berlin. Subsequently, Rolf continued his research work at the École Polytechnique in Paris. After his law education in Freiburg and Munich, he has been working as patent attorney in Berlin since 2001.

He has co-authored Abkupfern? Nein Danke! - Praxis-Handbuch Produktpiraterie effektiv bekämpfen (together with Prof. Dr. Peter Lutz, Maximilian Greger, Klaus Hoffmeister, Horst Leis LL.M., Hans Losert, Fridolin Seiffert M.B.L.-HSG, Gero Wilke), published by Prof. Dr. Peter Lutz, new release march 2015 and Intellectual Property Management (Wiley-VCH Verlag, 1st edition 2006).

Rolf is a member of the International Federation of Intellectual Patent Attorneys (FICPI), Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP) and Selbsthilfe der Rechtsanwälte e.V.
